The Brantford Aquatic Club captured 8 medals at the Long Course Junior Provincial Swimming Championships in Ottawa, July 1-4, doubling the number won at the short course championships in February.
Marc Muise(16) led the way with 4 medals. Marc won silver medals in the 1500 free and 400 free and captured bronze in the 200 free and 800 free. He also placed 5th in the 100 free and 200 back.
Alex Paulins(14) won 2 bronze medals in the 1500 free and 400 free. He also placed 6th in the 200 free, 200 fly and 800 free and 9th in the 400 IM.
Jessi Higgins(11) won 2 bronze medals in the 800 free and 200 free. She placed 4th in the 100 free, 5th in the 400 free, 14th in the 200 back and 16th in the 400 IM.
Liam Gibson(10) placed 16th in the 50 fly, 28th in the 100 fly and 41st in the 200 free
Maddison Heggie(11) placed 6th in the 100 free, 8th in the 50 free, 16th in the 200 back and 19th in the 100 fly.
Connor Gibson(12) finished 8th in the 100 and 200 back, 19th in the 50 free and 21st in the 400IM.
Sebastian Paulins(12) finished 13th in the 800 free, 18th in the 200 free, 19th in the 400 free and 20th in the 100 free.
Tanner Robinson(12) finished 6th in the 100 back, 7th in the 200 back, 11th in the 200 free and 800 free, 15th in the 400 free and 17th in the 200 fly.
Andrew Vallee(12) placed 7th in the 800 free, 9th in the 200 free, 10th in the 400 free and 23rd in the 200 fly.
Garrett Heggie(13) finished 12th in the 50 free and 100 free, 16th in the 200 free and 19th in the 100 fly.
Siena Calarco(14) placed 12th in the 50 free, 14th in the 100 breast and 100 free, and 23rd in the 100 fly.
Sydney Harrington(16), finished 12th in the 100 free, 13th in the 50 free and 200 back and 14th in the 100 back.
Alex Suida(17), finished 6th in the 200 back, 7th in the 200 breast, 8th in the 200 IM, and 10th in the 100 breast.
The boys 12/13 relay team made up of Connor Gibson, Garrett Heggie, Tanner Robinson and Andrew Vallee placed 15th in the 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay, and 17th in the 200 free relay.
