The Brantford Aquatic Club had a very successful weekend at the Youth Cup Invitational in Etobicoke over the weekend. The eleven members competing for BAC were awarded the High Point Award for Small teams on Sunday night with 327 points, almost 100 points over the next small team. The Special Small Team High Point Award is awarded to the overall winner of teams of 16 swimmers or less in the competition.
Marc Muise led the charge by winning the 15-17 boys High Point Award. Muise won gold and broke the BAC club record in a time of 57.66 in the 100 fly, bronze in the 200 backstroke and 400 freestyle, 4th in the 50 and 100 freestyle, 5th in the 200 and 1500 freestyle and 7th in 100 backstroke.
Sebastian Paulins won silver in 400 IM, bronze in the 200 and 400 freestyle and 200 butterfly, 5th in 1500 freestyle, 6th in the 100 butterfly and 8th in the 200 IM.
Andrew Vallee won silver in 1500 freestyle, 4th in 400 IM and 5th in the 400 freestyle.
Alex Paulins finished 4th in 1500 freestyle and 6th in the 400 freestyle. Connor Gibson finished 4th in 100 backstroke and 7th in the 200 backstroke. Tanner Robinson finished 4th in the 200 backstroke and 8th in the 200 butterfly. The relay team of Sebastian Paulins, Gibson, Robinson and Vallee finished 8th in the 4 x 100 freestyle relay.
The additional members of the team competing at Youth Cup were Liam Gibson, Kennedy Russell, Siena Calarco, Kaitlyn Mitchell and Sydney Harrington.
